I’ve got the default styles for my child theme framework ironed-out now and I’m really happy with the way they turned out. I’m not a fan of serif font block text so that’s not going to be a default, but for headers, the Georgia font certainly does the job. The combination of Georgia and Lucida Grande (Mac only) makes for a beautiful theme.
I am thrilled with the way the Keep It Simple theme came together using the Thematic Theme Framework. The typography in this theme is gorgeous. Headers use the Georgia font and the body text is Lucida Grande (Mac) or Verdana (PC). The original theme design provided the subtle coloring and nothing was changed in that respect. I may have to use this theme :)
