Hi, my name is Suzanne and I’m a passionate fan of all things WordPress. I have a background in technology, application programming, software development, information architecture, usability and design. I’m also skilled in the areas of e-commerce and affiliate marketing. Fifteen years ago I got my first copy of Photoshop and thought to myself, “…if I could only make a living doing this all day!” Wow, don’t blink – fifteen years went by and today I make part of my living using Photoshop.
I love to build communication frameworks with beautiful user interfaces and I have a strong desire to put such tools in the hands of the little people around the world. Think of the creativity we’ve never seen because most of the communication and creation tools were held captive by just a few powerful people. Nonsense I say.
WordPress has been my primary focus for about four years now. I’ve used other web site development tools and other blog systems, but none of them captured my heart like WordPress. Its elegance surpasses any competitor and its extensibility is unmatched. It allows the average person to contribute to its evolution and it supports them in that process as well. But the aspect of WordPress I love the most is simply that it has empowered so many people around the world to speak their hearts and minds, helping to create a living, global encyclopedia of life. No other online publishing system can claim that.
If you want to change the world, you have to think that big.
My intentions for Holistic Ground are that big too. I don’t know how we’ll get there, but I don’t need to know either. You simply put one foot in front of the other and start walking toward your ideas. I’ve always had everything I needed for whatever was next and I certainly don’t see that changing here. In retrospect, everything I’ve done has lead me directly to this doorway so we’re walking through it.
